McCarter Coffee Company was created by Debra and Jim McCarter. After experiencing the joy of coffee roasting and brewing throughout Italy they realized how much we are missing the taste of freshly roasted coffee here in the States.

Their trips to Costa Rica and Hawaii helped them to see first hand the process of growing and roasting coffee beans. This helped them gain an understanding of the growing cycles harvesting procedures.

The knowledge and experience has helped them develope the art of finding the most freshly picked beans and then seeking the ultimate roasting temperature to allow the hidden flavor to escape.

We are always looking for new and exciting beans.

Why Organic?
For a coffee to be organic, it must pass several test for the USDA to get a organic certificate. It must be grown on land with out synthetic pesticides and other prohibited subsances; There must be a buffer between organic farms and conventional crops and The farms must have crop rotations plans regarding erosion, soil nutrient, and control of pest.
