Our Honey

Our honey is locally produced at Proctor, Arkansas. It is a pure, raw, natural product. We use no pesticides or chemicals and employ only integrated pest management techniques on our hives. This assures you the best and healthiest product available for your family. Peace Bee Farm is a family operation and is conducted by three generations of beekeepers.

We produce locally grown honey from cotton, soybean, and othe floral sources. We also use the beeswax in the production of candles. You may contact us throughout the year.

About Bees Wax

Beeswax has been in use at least since the middle ages. They were used in religious settings and for daily use. The candles made from beeswax retain a slight aroma of honey and smell much like the beehive when first opened. They are more expensive than paraffin or soy candles because they are more labor-intensive. Beekeepers must separate the honey from the comb, melt the wax from the comb, filter the wax several times and then re-melt the wax to pour into molds. Beeswax candles have the longest burn time of all waxes. They burn cleanly and do not smoke. You know your candles are 100% beeswax if you buy them from a beekeeper!

Gardens must have the honey bee to pollinate the flowers and vegetables. Much of the food we consume today would not be available without pollination. Honey is the product of the bee we prize for both it’s sweetness and increasingly for it’s nutritional value. Honey should be stored on your counter or in a pantry. Honey should not be refrigerated. Honey will not support bacterial growth and will not spoil. Honey should not be fed to infants under the age of 1 year.
