“FunderFarm” is what we’ve come to call our little 5 1/2 acres where we are always learning...trying something new. Recently, the name also titles our newest venture into the small business world selling freshly ground whole grain flours & baking mixes. Hopefully as the summer moves in, we'll also be offering fresh cut flowers & heirloom tomatoes at select markets. We'd love to meet you at one of the Memphis farmer's markets.
FunderSchool
We are an inquisitive family who live on a learning curve. We like learning something new. The "FunderSchool" pages give us a place to dump some of the info we've acquired in hopes that it will jump-start you into your next learning expedition.
About our family
We are an inquisitive, homeschooling family of 6. We have 3 lively little boys and one new baby girl. We believe God as He provides, leads, protects, teaches, and encourages us (to say the least!). We love our 5.5 acres near Independence, MS, and its constant activity with our boys, gardens, a few dairy goats, some chickens, cats, and one lonesome guinea. As wife and mother, Laura is the “keeper of our home," homeschool teacher, and left-brain. She occasionally has the privilege to teach childbirth classes, provide labor support, and help nursing moms. She is also working on her herbalist certification through Shonda Parker’s Institute for Family Herbal Care. I am Daddy and husband, right-brain, flour grinder-er and amateur farmhand and website creator on the FunderFarm. I possess the "green thumb" in the family and like to cook and play piano. We look forward to serving and getting to know you.
